Hummingbird Highway
The Hummingbird highway is without a doubt the most scenic highway in Belize. Technically, the road is called the Hummingbird for only about 33 miles from Roaring Creek on the Western Highway to the village of Middlesex, and then it is known as the Stann Creek Valley Road. This started from a time when the Stann Creek Valley Road went from Stann Creek Town up to Middlesex Village and then into a trail to Cayo, it took many years for the highway to be opened to Belize City.
Magnetic Hill or Gravity Hill
From about mile 26 in Hummingbird Community to mile 35 at St. Margret Village the Hummingbird Highway forms the boundary between the Stann Creek and Cayo Districts.
